DISABLED FACILITIES
Abergavenny Town Football Club fully supports the principle of equal opportunities and opposes all
forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of disability.
The club recognises that not all of the facilities are fully accessible to disabled spectators and confirms it
is committed to making the necessary reasonable adjustments.
Access

Access to the stadium is across a level area with no steps and no ramps. Wheelchair users and other
disabled spectators enter the stadium with all other spectators, through the same turnstile and through
the same entrance.

Ambulant Disabled

There are no specific areas of the ground that facilitate access for the ambulant disabled, however,
there are many seats which can be accessed easily by those persons using crutches, sticks or walking
frames.

Parking Arrangements

The availability of parking at the stadium is limited with two spaces near the clubhouse entrance.

Toilet facilities

Toilet facilities for disabled spectators are all easily accessible via a ramp in the clubhouse.

Refreshment Facilities

These are located on the terrace and in the clubhouse. We recognise that disabled spectators may find
long waiting times to access facilities during congested periods at half-time.

Pricing Policy

Disabled spectators pay the full entry price with one companion (if required) for free.

Stewarding for Disabled Spectators.

There are no dedicated stewards with responsibility for assisting disabled spectators. However, all
stewards will help any spectator as required.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are permitted within the stadium.

Emergency Evacuation

The evacuation plan will depend on the location of any incident. Spectators are requested to follow the
directions and advice of the stewards. Wheelchair using spectators should ideally be accompanied by a
person who can support their needs in the event of an emergency and recommend that this person is
sixteen years of age or above and of good physical and mental health.

Wheelchair Access Terraces

Provision for wheelchair users is available via two hard standing terraces areas behind the goal and
along the length of the stadium.

Stadium Wheelchairs

No wheelchairs are available for use by spectators at the stadium.

Audit

As part of its disability awareness, the club will undertake an annual self-assessment audit.
We aim to ensure that there are no barriers to the use of the stadium by disabled people. It is our
intention to provide information.
